What are the best super wide angle lens for a Nikon D60?

I am getting a D60 soon and would like to take wide angle pictures. The lens it comes with has 18-55mm..is this considered wide angle. Or do I need to find one around 12mm? Are there any cheap wide angle lens?

I wouldn't consider 18mm to be super wide. If you are going for that "fish-eye" look there is one that is 10.5mm which can be purchased for about $700usd. Wide angle lens are typically expensive. You can look into some the other name brands like Tamron who has a 10-24mm f3.5-4.5 for about $499usd. Considering this lens is veri-focal and its price point the Tamrom would probably be your best option. You will loose some quality going from a Nikkor Lens to a Tamron but it may not even be noticeable to a non-pro eye.
