Camera lens protection for airsoft game?

What would you people suggest that I use to protect my camcorder's lens during an airsoft match I want to film? The setting is woodland with a sniper or two and a bunch of guys with spring rifles. Any suggstions are appreciated, thanks!

Polycarbonate or thick acrylic is usually best. I cut 6mm acrylic discs as protectors for all of my optics - no BB's gonna go through that!

The simplest thing to do is cut up the lens from a pair of airsoft goggles. It's best if you use flat material as it won't distort your view.
