Seriously, does anyone own a sony vaio, laptop that has a battery, that lasts for more than 20 minutes?

I have the maximum battery setting on, and I've tried all the other settings that should extend the bsttery life. The batteries in sony suck.
Any recomendations out there? That wont cost me another $300.00

1st- check u'r battery was not recalled by the supplier sony
2nd-how many cell do u'r battery have? 4cell battery with 15.4 WSXGA gives approx 30 min backup in acer. if ur battery is a bit old then 20 min is ok. buy 9cell battery for smooth work which can give u 2hrs + backup.
