I have a RCA mp3 player and it will not play the songs that I have downloaded on it. What could be wrong?

It played the songs that was already on it when I bought it. When I downloaded songs to it it quit playing any kind of songs. The battery is brand new and it has not been dropped or gotten wet. Nothing has happened to it since I bought it less than a week ago. What could be the problem with it.

You may not have the songs in MP3 format. Check the format you have loaded on your computer. Reformatting the songs or redownloading may be the answer.
