Olympus Evolt E-410 "Battery Empty" when plugging into computer?

Hi. My battery for my Olympus Evolt E-410 was fully charged when I plugged the camera into the computer via USB port. The screen came up saying "Battery Empty" so I tried my other fully charged battery and it came up with the same screen. When I disconnected the USB cord, it came straight back up to the screen and it was perfectly fine - what gives?

You could do as I suggested to someone else.

Buy a card reader and you won't have to worry about your computer recognizing your camera because the camera won't be involved at all. You plug the reader into a USB port on your computer and then insert your memory card into the reader. Much easier and faster. They can be found at most stores that sell digital cameras, and are only about $10. Just be sure to get one that will accommodate your cards.
